Spotlight: Very close fourth in valuable final here (7f, good) last October on last 2yo start and reappeared with second of 13 in handicap at Newmarket (6f, good); had an excuse (stumbled leaving the stalls) when down the field at Newmarket last time and has been gelded since; possible player.

Spotlight: Built upon previous promise to win a 14-runner handicap at Naas (6f, good) last month on his second start of the season (prominent throughout); this Irish raider is open to further improvement and entitled to respect.

Spotlight: Impressive on debut at Yarmouth (6f, good to firm) last May and tapped back into that promise when short-headed in a handicap at Meydan (6f, good) in March; gelded since and remains lightly raced; his stable is in excellent form and he's one to be interested in back in Britain following a break.

Spotlight: Won at Ayr (6f, good to soft) on the first of his three 2yo starts and back on the scoresheet on his handicap/seasonal debut at Pontefract (6f, good) in April; 4lb higher in a deeper race today but he's unexposed and his illustrious pedigree hints that he could still have more to offer.

Spotlight: Made it 0-10 since winning on debut over C&D last May when underwhelming at Leicester 19 days ago; however, he was in good form previously, finishing 3l fifth of 14 over 7f here (good) earlier last month when not quite seeing out the trip; edging down the weights and could be involved.

Spotlight: Came with a storming run from the rear to win at 40-1 here (5f, good) last month on his stable debut, and again finished strongly when 1l fourth of 16 here (5f, good) eight days later; he could improve further for this first crack at 6f and is high on the list.

Spotlight: Won big-field nursery over C&D (good to firm) at last August's Ebor meeting and continued the good work at Chester (6f, good) last month, finishing second then first; defied the widest stall last time; in with a chance.

Spotlight: It took him nine attempts to get off the mark, justifying even-money favouritism in a maiden at Salisbury (6f, good) three weeks ago; however, a case can be made judged on his Listed second at Redcar (6f, good to soft) last October; not discounted.

Spotlight: Very lightly colt who was denied a clear run and looked an unlucky loser behind Cape Ashizuri on his handicap and seasonal debut at Pontefract (6f, good) in April; failed to build on that when favourite at Chester (6f, good) but the track may not have suited; he remains one to be interested in.

Spotlight: His two 2yo starts yielded a win at Ripon (5f, good to firm) and close second at Pontefract (6f, good to soft), and he returned with a respectable third on handicap debut at Musselburgh (5f, good); in a hot contest today and improvement is necessary, but that can't be ruled out.

Spotlight: Won 6f AW Group 3 last September and fourth in Group 1 Middle Park at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) three weeks later; below best in Group races on both starts this year but wasn't devoid of promise at Newmarket, and Haydock last time was a first run on slow ground; not discounted on handicap debut.

Spotlight: Three 2yo wins, including here, and ran well when third of 14 at Hamilton (6f, good) last month; however, was no match for winning stablemate Red Spells Danger and has since finished unplaced at Thirsk; others preferred.

Spotlight: Eight runs last season, the highlight his 6f Group 2 near-miss at Chantilly in July; however, he was inconsistent and finished down the field on his reappearance at Doncaster in March (Listed); others appeal more.

Spotlight: Two of his best 2yo runs came over C&D, including a Listed second in October (good); however, he's been a long way below that level on both starts this term, most recently in a 5f Listed race here (good) last month.
