Spotlight: Sixth to Kats Bob in this race 12 months ago; made a winning return at Southwell in April but disappointing at Ripon next time and needs to bounce back.

Spotlight: Surged back to form when beating Yes I'm Mali 1l over C&D (good ground) three weeks ago; no obvious reason why he won't give his running again but a 6lb rise means he'll probably need a personal best to follow up.

Spotlight: Hasn't won since 2024 but he's starting to look well handicapped; heavily backed when sixth of 20 behind Lord Roxby and Yes I'm Mali over C&D three weeks ago; bit more needed but he could be building up to something.

Spotlight: Last two wins have come over 6f at Redcar and he returned to form when third over that C&D last month; however, this is warmer and he has been unplaced on all four of his starts at York.

Spotlight: Has done most of his racing on AW (4-20) but seems at least as effective on turf and he went close at Chepstow three weeks ago; all wins over 5f but he tends to finish strongly and should be just as good at 6f; may not be fully exposed and the booking of young Aussie star Zac Lloyd catches the eye.

Spotlight: Fine stable servant with eight wins to his name, two of them here; probably needed the run when down the field at the Dante meeting; the usual headgear returns today and Jack Nicholls claims a handy 5lb; quite interesting.
